The team was started by Gary Brown after his successful Windsor Drive Youth Team wanted to stay together after the U16 level. The sponsorship, name and now infamous green and white came from Marshall Langston, a local company who specialise in bespoke design and manufacturers of corrugated cases and packaging.

They continue the support each season to which the club is very grateful.

The team is composed of a group of lads, mainly from the Tuffley area in Gloucester who are good friends. Players have come and gone over the years but the backbone of the squad is the same as it was at the clubs inception.

For the first few years the club was under the guidance of Gary Brown who managed the young inexperienced squad through the Stroud divisions. Helping Gary was Stewart Williams who took over the managers role as Gary had other commitments. A couple of seasons ago Stewart and Marshall no longer saw eye to eye and went there separate ways.

Marshall now with no manager they were at a 2 way street; finish and go there separate ways or manage with what they had. Gladly the players decided to take on the responsibility and run the club themselves and it was down to Nathan Mustoe and Ben Howard to step up to the plate as managers.

Marshall finished mid table that season through hard work and footballing ability.

Again there was to be more changes ahead for Marshall, at the end of season party Nathan announced that he was stepping down to travel down under for a year.

This time though, there was no hassle involved regarding who was going to take over the now tough reigns of managing the team, as Ben Howard agreed to continue his steep managerial learning curve with Daniel Knight and Steve Mclean helping out.

Last season Marshall avoided relegation through sheer hard work, determination and players doing what was needed from them to help out the team. But a lot of positives can be taken from a slightly disappointing season, by getting to the semi final of the league cup.

Now to this season, Nathan Mustoe is back from his trip down under to take the managers hot seat with the help of ex player Alex Butler. Neil Mustoe, Gloucester City captain and ex Manchester United youth product, will be putting the team through their paces on the training ground.

There is new optimisum running through the players this year after spending the previous 2 seasons battling and with the few new additions Marshall can get back to winning ways.
